"I have worked in events for over ten years after graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a BA (Hons) in Communication Studies. As Team Leader I am responsible for ensuring that all our events are delivered to a high standard, taking accountability for the customer experience. I line manage all operational team members and offer support, advice and expertise on delivery of complex conferences. As NCC is a new team, it is great to be a part of it and to be able to contribute to the development and growth of the business. I love the variety of people I meet, the opportunity to work with external clients and being involved in the planning of numerous events at any one time."

Rebecca Williams

"I have a strong events and administrative management background having previously worked both within the public sector and academia. Prior to starting at Nottingham Conference Centre I worked in Estates and Resources at Nottingham Trent University. I had a varied role which mainly focussed on the Newton and Arkwright redevelopment. When the opportunity as Conference Coordinator at NCC presented itself I jumped at the chance to work in a fantastic venue, doing something I love – organising events. My role involves working with clients to ensure the smooth running of their events and making sure that their experience is the best possible."

"I graduated in 2010 from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in Events Management. Having previous experience of working in hospitality, weddings and corporate events my main role at NCC is to coordinate all our weddings and special events. I also provide support to the Conference Coordinators. I have always wanted to be involved with events, particularly weddings and the opportunity to work at a new venue is very rare and exciting. I love working with a great team, meeting lots of new people and the fact that every day is different."

"I have spent the majority of my working life in the public sector, employed by the Library Service. I have always enjoyed getting involved in events, working with people and ensuring good customer care, so I was keen to move into a job that reflected those skills. My role is to open up the conference centre in the morning, meet and greet arriving delegates and carry out administration work – all with a smile! I love meeting a variety of people, and the fact that each day is different. I also enjoy being in such a beautiful building; the spaces are so light and airy that you can't fail to like working here."

"Previously, I have worked in various customer service and front of house roles across a variety of sectors including travel, hospitality, retail and legal. I studied for a BA in Social Sciences at the Open University and I have always been passionate about working in events. My main role is to be the first point of contact for any delegates or visitors to the conference centre, providing assistance and ensuring our high standards of customer service are maintained. I also deal with day to day administrative tasks. I really enjoy the positive atmosphere at NCC, being part of an exciting new venture and the variety of people I meet daily."

"It is my role to make sure all the conference rooms are kept to a high standard and set up in the layouts requested by clients. I am also on hand during conferences to ensure everything is running smoothly and deal with any last minute needs. Before moving to Nottingham Conference Centre I worked as a temp, gaining experience in many different work environments. I like the variety of my role here and enjoy how two days are never the same. Every conference is very different and every conference organiser has very different ideas – it’s my job to help make sure they all happen."
