The Sillitoe Room is a dedicated executive lounge for our delegates to prepare work or simply take a break in a quiet environment.
Inside there are a range of beverages and snacks and a telephone to contact reception.
Named after Alan Sillitoe - Author
As author of the ground-breaking and critically acclaimed Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, Sillitoe was renowned for painting a vivid picture of 1950's English working class life. His follow-up The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Runner was filmed in 1961 with Tom Courtenay in the leading role. He published 25 novels as well as volumes of poetry, books for children, screenplays and essays.
